The Journey – Part 4

The Journey

Dear Beloved Church Family,

Have I told you about my younger brother Dan? He’s quiet, consistent and faithful! And a Disciple of Christ!

Late afternoon on July 13th, a doctor came and told me that they could not help me at Community Hospital! They were thus transporting me to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick, NJ for the first of two necessary surgeries. What!!! Two surgeries? Robert Wood Johnson??? We were praying for healing and a quick one! Robert Wood Johnson is located very close to my home in NJ. They are a trauma center and teaching hospital. But why? I want to go back to York ASAP!

After an hour’s ride in an ambulance up the NJ Garden State Parkway, I was taken to the emergency trauma department and given a room. I opened my eyes and there was …Dan! Offering to help with anything and everything. Sitting and just being with his older beat up brother! What an oasis for me!

Never underestimate the ministry of “presence”! Just being there in an hour of need. No deep spiritual speeches necessary. Presence is so important! And every believer in Christ is equipped to be the presence of the Lord Jesus in real time!

Thanks Dan! You are a friend who is also a real brother!
Proverbs 18:24!

Who needs you to be a brother to them?

More to come!
