Dear Beloved Church Family,

Tomorrow, Sue and I plan to worship with you online and enjoy the Bible teaching ministry of my Harvey Cedars friend, Pastor John Schaffer, as he continues his excellent exposition of Psalm 19. I met John almost 50 years ago when we were both Summer Staff members at HCBC. John worked as a cook and I worked in the dish room! Great training for ministry, indeed. One of the many practical values of spending a summer on the Harvey Cedars Bible Conference Staff was the life-long friendships built! I wish every teenager could take advantage of that kind of opportunity. I think we got paid $10./week, but the spiritual experience was priceless!

Being homebound, I have gained so much more appreciation for the great job Tim and Don do to broadcast YBC services for those who can’t be there in person! Brian does a fabulous job in leading us in joyful singing! I always appreciate his enthusiasm. I know that nothing can take the place of gathering in person with the church on Sunday mornings. But when homebound, this technology is wonderful!

And I hope to be back soon myself!
